Fish Bolts and Nuts are used to fasten the Fish plates. Fish Plates are used for holding two rails in horizontal as well as in vertical planes at equal height. At each rail joint, a pair of fish plates is used. Holes are drilled through the web of rails and the rails are joined together by using Fish Plates and tightening fish bolts with the help of nuts.
The standard diameter of fish bolts for use on BG, MG and NG are 25 mm, 22 mm and 18 mm respectively. However, the length varies according to location, rail section/fish plate section. The fish bolts are square headed and nuts used are hexagonal with an in built washer of thickness 8, 7 and 6 mm for BG, MG and NG respectively which bears against the fish plates to permit the spanner grip.
We can customize all kinds of bolts according to the drawings provided by customers.
